Hi Claude,<br>
<br>
I think what you are looking for are not gears but sprockets and
chain . I have used the ones from an old Manure spreader for
assorted projects over the years such as to drive the sawdust
conveyor chain on my antique sawmill. Old spreaders can often be
found abandoned in hedgerows and such on old farms if the fellows
collecting scrap metal have not got them all in your area. Worth a
look see anyway. Another place to look is in Tractor parts salvage
yards if there are such in your area.<br>
<br>
Good luck.<br>

<div>Hello all,</div>

<div>I have a Chattanooga no. 12 vertical mill and it is using a
sweep pole to turn it with a riding mower. What I want to do
is set this up to use my Tractor's PTO shaft to turn it and do
it all by myself. Plus, it is hard to draft my teen agers to
ride the mower around in circles, without a small pay check.
Sigh.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Anyway, does anyone know of any large metal gears that I
can buy? I am thinking I need a 20 inch for the top of the
mill and about an 8-9 inch for other side. These two
gears will be connected with a size 80 roller chain.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>I can find the other parts I need to build this type of set
up and I only need the gears plus the chain. I have not found
any that is not super expensive, so any tips will be welcome.</div>
