 some state licensing standards, if Gov. Bobby Jindal agrees. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The Senate gave final passage to the bill Tuesday with a 32-0 vote. All local senators supported the measure.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The bill by Republican Rep. Scott Simon, of Abita Springs, broadens a law passed last year giving an exemption
 to sanitation rules that require commercial grade equipment to people who sell cakes and cookies they bake at home.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The expanded exemption will apply to home-based food makers who prepare baked goods, candies, honey, jams and
 jellies, pickles, sauces, syrups and spices — if their gross annual sales are less than $20,000.
