Keith and Scott,.
The only problem with relying on beneficials is that when they eat the population they would have nothing left to eat. Therefore, beneficials don't usually get so numerous as to destroy all their "food". Hence, the best you could hope for is some degree of control and not eradication.
So, Scott, do you have mealybugs as well as aphids?
