Old timers always told me to never fertilize sorghum. If anything at all fertilize before you plant. In 12 years I have never put anything on mine and it has always done great, even in our red clay here in SC. Kevin.

I have never done this and wondering if it will speed up growth and/or maturation, as some of my crop seems to be lagging behind. We grow organically, and so do not use commercial fertilizers. I'm in central Missouri and am looking at a cooking date of Oct.1. Any insights appreciated!
