Well, I have 3 that says it's the front plug (radiator end) and one that says it's the back plug (flywheel end) to be sure someone has it in writing, or illustrated somewhere. I have the motor running now using the front cylinder as #1 but it is not cranking as good as it was before I had to work on it.These motors were used in early John Deere # 12 A combines, and other applications. I have one on a large rex cement mixer and one on a chatt. 45 cane mill. Both motors are 1944's. Thanks for the help. At least we have something to read for a change.
PS. when I send a message to syrupmakers it does not show up on my email and has not for a long time, does anyone else have this problem? Marcus
